What does the day involve?
In this class we will look at hand manufacturing a full eternity band from scratch using traditional techniques.
Starting with stock silver, you will learn to roll out the silver to exact measurements using rolling mills to form a band to a specified size in order to fit a specified number and size of stones.
Once we have made the ring blank we will look at methods for marking out the band evenly for the exact amount of stones required and to the correct setting tolerances, before drilling the holes and preparing the ring for stone setting.
This is part one of a two part class with the second day being the setting and finishing of the eternity band but can also be taken a stand alone class. The second date is Saturday 6th February 10-5pm
