Saturday 3rd July 10-5pm 2021
Workshop 925 based at The Mayford Centre, just outside of Woking and very close to Guildford.
Unit F9 The Mayford Centre,
What does the day involve?
In this class we will look at hand manufacturing a full eternity band from scratch using traditional techniques.
Starting with stock silver, you will learn to roll out the silver to exact measurements using rolling mills to form a band to a specified size in order to fit a specified number and size of stones.
Once we have made the ring blank we will look at methods for marking out the band evenly for the exact amount of stones required and to the correct setting tolerances, before drilling the holes and preparing the ring for stone setting.
This is part one of a two part class with the second day being the setting and finishing of the eternity band but can also be taken a stand alone class. The second date is Saturday 31st July 10-5pm
Please do not book if you do not agree with our Coronavirus procedures.
The class is designed for those with basic jewellery making experience wishing to build their knowledge of traditional mounting skills.
