Children's Classes

We strongly encourage children into jewellery making and into our workshop to learn traditional making skills under the tuition of our welcome and supportive team of tutors; particularly important as technology increasingly develops and reduces our need to use our hands for manufacturing.

Jewellery making is also a really good skill for younger children to improve and develop dexterity.

Our tutors are DBS checked and welcome all abilities.

Lesley Tooby from Busy Beading is our fantastic children’s jewellery tutor. She runs workshops for children aged 6 + in our well equipped workshop at The Mayford Centre. Each child will have their own work space and will feel incredibly welcome and included in all activities so you can feel happy they will enjoy their time with us.

Lesley has been running children’s classes for many years and regularly teaches jewellery classes for young children at schools. She is extremely passionate about running classes which will enable the children to develop their skills and take away something unique they have created with their own hands.

Children's Parties

Children's Parties

We can run children or teen parties in the workshop for up to 8 participants.

For younger children 6-14, Lesley Tooby from Busy Beading can run a workshop based upon the age of the children attending and tailored to your requests.

For those aged 14 and above, we are able to offer a silver ring making party. We request one adult be present during this class. (Class time 2 hours long).

We can also discuss any other ideas you may have in mind.

Information we need to know to plan your party:

  • Age of the participants
  • Preferred dates and times
  • Number of participants taking part.
  • Do you wish to have food at the workshop afterwards?
  • Do any children attending have any allergies we need to be aware of?

You are more than welcome to bring along any decorations and food to consume after the workshop.
