During this session, we will take you through the methods to design and create your very own silver pendant learning how to tackle the technique called piercing (cutting out). We will provide a range of designs for you to choose, however should you have your own specific designs in mind, please do let us know by emailing hello@workshop925.com
You will be provided with demonstrations throughout the day to help you gain new skills and bring your design ideas to life, you will explore:
- How to pierce you silver sheet using the correct technique.
- How add textures to your designs using equipment such as the rolling mill, texture hammers and punches.
- We will explore how to shape/form your metal.
- You will learn how to create jump rings to be able to connect your pendant to a chain (the chain is not provided, however some are sold at the workshop).
- You will learn a wide range of jewellery making skills through the session to create your own handmade jewellery designs. You can expect to make around 1 pendant - however your designs will vary, some design ideas will take longer to create. Therefore, if time allows you might be able to create more than one design.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
No experience is required, all abilities are welcomed.
We support you throughout the session and provide demonstrations to show you the techniques and steps needed to create your own designs from start to finish.
If you have some experience you can develop your skills further using more advanced techniques to create your designs.
