WHAT DOES THE DAY INVOLVE?

In this session, you’ll design and make two stunning silver rings, guided by our skilled jewellery tutor in a hands on, step by step process session. 

You will start by learning how to accurately measure your finger size to ensure a
perfect fit. Then, with expert guidance, you will be guided through a wide range of making skills - ring sizing, texture techniques, preparing your rings for soldering, soldering itself, and finally shaping your rings.

Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, this session provides you everything you need to create your two gorgeous silver rings in a relaxed and supportive environment.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

None, all abilities are welcomed. Our small classes mean we are able to provide each student with the support they require. Students must be aged 16 or over. Learners aged 14–16 are welcome only when accompanied by a full-paying parent.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

  • All tools and consumables are supplied

The cost of this course includes materials.

  • 2mm silver round wire: 7.5cm length
  • 0.8mm silver strip 0.5cm x 75.cm length

WHAT TO BRING:

For safety reasons, during each class, you are required to wear appropriate footwear, we request that no open toed shoes are worn within Workshop 925. Long hair should also be tied back when working with the equipment. You may also wish to bring a notebook. We have handouts for many demonstrations, but there are always many tips and tricks given verbally by the tutor, which some might like to keep note of.
