WHAT DOES THE DAY INVOLVE? 

The workshop is a hands-on introduction to professional pearl knotting, led by Amy Hubbard.

During the day you will:

  • Learn professional pearl-knotting techniques used for restringing pearls.
  • Create your own knotted pearl necklace or bracelet to practice the skills.
  • Learn how to incorporate silver pendants or links into your designs.
  • Discuss the tools and materials needed for pearl knotting and bead stringing.

WHATS INCLUDED?

  • Freshwater Pearls in a range of colours.
  • Clasps and connectors
  • Threading materials
  • All tools and consumables are supplied

You'll begin and work on a full necklace during the session. If you don't complete it during the workshop, you'll have learned the techniques needed to finish it at home. Some do finish their design, however the technique is the key focus to learn. 

You are also welcome to combine silver jewellery with your beading techniques as Amy is a highly skilled fashion tutor and goldsmith.

You can purchase some gorgeous beads from Mr Bead, Bead Shop UK and International Craft

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

This class is suitable for those with any level of experience.

We run a very welcoming and supportive environment, so whatever level your skills are at, you will always feel encouraged and supported by all to develop your ability further.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please bring along any snacks and drinks for the session.

We have tea and coffee supplies you are welcome to help yourself to. We have a fridge, microwave and kettle which you are welcome to use.
